Cheaply made and exploitative US western.

"The Wicked Die Slow" begins with the Kid framing his own brother for rape and leaving him to die at the hands of a bounty-hunting preacher. Then the Kid teams up with Armadillo,a Mexican adventurer and together they blaze a trail across untamed territory infested with savage Indians and ruthless outlaws."The Wicked Die Slow" is an amateurish western with pretty sleazy and grim mood plus some disturbing scenes of violence. The barmaid torture scene is especially vicious and memorable. The girl is violated with an broken bottle by the gang which turn up at the same saloon where Armadillo and the Kid have just left after a shootout with some locals. There is plenty of nudity in "The Wicked Die Slow" and some nice spaghetti western Clint Eastwood impersonation.6 gang-raping Indians out of 10.

Enjoyable and surprisingly nasty revenge movie

Well i have just watched the new scorpion Blu Ray release of the wicked die slow and having read the one star review on here i didn't expect to like it. However i really enjoyed it a lot , yes the film was obviously shot on an extremely low budget , however for a film shot in 1968 i was surprised on how nasty and violent the film was. To cut out the BS this is basically a movie based on Revenge , 2 killing rapists and murderers , so if you enjoy your revenge flicks i'm sure you'll get a kick out of this one , there are a lot of nasty sleazy moments in this movie and it never bored me. Honestly you have to check this one out. You'll be glad you did despite the negative comments.

Just plain awful

I saw this movie when it first came out in was known as a "Pussycat Theater." It would probably be R rated today. The movie was devoid of art with a hint of story. I recall one scene where a barmaid is shot in her breast. I'm not sure why she was shot or why I recall it, but over 35 years later it's still disturbing.

Of course, there is gratuitous violence, gratuitous nudity, and gratuitous bad language. Briefly the plot begins to hold interest when the two main characters save a poor traveler and his daughter from bad guys. But then the traveler gives our "heros" the only thing he has of value .... his daughter. The scene reflects on the total pointlessness of the movie.
