Movie has been done MANY times before

I think I'm about done with shark movies. This one had jump scares galore, but it was the same old premise as are in all these types of movies. Read below.

The movie starts out in the typical way. Several young people are in a Spanish speaking country for, yup, you guessed it, Spring Break. Guess what they are doing? Yup, you guessed it again. Partying, drinking, being stupid kids, as usual. I had to roll my eyes as they kids thought it was cool to drink incessantly and scream and yell showing that they are drinking incessantly.

Come morning, they are still sort of drinking and spy some jet skis which they steal and do some more stupid kid things by playing chicken with each other. Yeah, I know, right? Why would you play chicken with jet skis? You just KNOW something bad is going to happen. Well, 1 part alcohol, 1 part stupid kids, 1 part heavy machinery and you have the makings of "Why did we do the stupid things we did?"

As usual, all the kids are nothing but heavy drinkers and foul mouthed except for one, the rational, scared girl that seemingly makes her way in ALL these types of movies. I had the entire plot down explained in less than 5 minutes as they are ALL cookie cutter plot, dialogue and lack of real script that you know exactly what is going to happen, what is going to be said and how it will end.

Now comes the acting. They play "Americans" but you can tell that they are not American. Just some of the things they say and do. Also, their accents are horrible as American. One guy says "I reckon..." and that's when I truly knew that not one of these kids was American. Then they referred to the cell phone flashlight as a "torch". I mean, you make a movie where everyone is supposed to be American and you forget that Americans don't talk the way the Brits do. Whoever wrote the script really needs to really brush up on American culture.

The acting was subpar. The CGI was ok. The story was, well, done a million times before. This movie belongs in the B movie bargain bin or should be a free rental on Apple, Android and every other streaming service. People will feel that they lost the money they sunk into renting the movie.

Save your money. Save your sanity. Watch paint dry. It's more interesting than this movie.

Middl of the road shark movie.

The Reef, Open Water, Great White... nothing new here. The acting was decent. Predictable and typical . Not a bad watch, but nothing to write home about...

Nothing wrong but nothing new

College kids did some stupid shxt and got themselves stuck in the middle of the ocean where one crazy blood thirst shark just won't leave them alone, meanwhile the girl found that her boyfriend is cheating on her because the screen writer couldn't find a better way for character development... yep I've seen this too many times. On the bright side it's not as bad as your typical $5 CGI brain dead flying shark movie.

A shark film with some reasonable t & a

Shark films have to have some decent t & a otherwise there's not much point to them as the genre really has been done to death. The last few I've stupidly sat through have been sadly lacking. At least the lead character in this ends up in her bra and panties for the latter 3rd of the film, having slowly shed all her other clothes for no apparent reason, and has a passable body.

But I can confirm that there is no scene in this film with a bikini babe in a red string bikini as in the promotional material!

I actually enjoyed this movie

Of course there is only so much you can do with "shark movies" and I would imagine it's very difficult to come up with an original plot. However "Shark Bait" was an ok movie where at least the shark was believable and the actors and actresses were very good. I wasn't bored and was quite entertained by this movie.
