Avoid at any cost, even if tickets are free
There's one positive point worth mentioning: the camerawork.
It ridiculous proceedings and stupidities can be tallied up every minute. I didn't feel a bit sorry if the two main characters would survive or not. The seemed to be hunting for the Darwin trophy. I have always free tickets, but the two hours wasted are a loss forever. Even 'The Mountain Between Us' was that much better, and that didn't get rave reviews.
So this, if you do go, expect nothing and do the quiz: how many dumb things can you find? Make notes of it, you can not remember them all.
One of the worst things I have ever seen
Have to be honest; I've never laughed this hard while watching a thriller. That's how horrible it was. The acting was terrible. The characters were annoying AF. And the plot was absolutely ridiculous. Just don't go. I promise you'll hate it.
Exciting, in a super daft way
This is a tough film to like. It is a single sentence plot and the leading lady is quite hateful. If a shark had dragged her to the ocean floor at the end, I might have cheered. However, the mega daft scenes in the film were so much fun and exciting in an unbelieveable way, I found myself gripped. Is this worth a cinema trip? No. Sorry. Leave it for Netflix. Big TV fun.
It is pretty good
I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews regarding this movie. I thought it was rather good. Simple, but very entertaining to watch. It had me at the edge of my seat throughout the film. Overall, I would recommend it if you want to see a suspenseful, easy to understand action movie without you having to think about it too much that will entertain you for an hour and a half
Don't go
This was the second time in my long watching-movies-in-the-theater-career that I walked out from a movie before it ended. The storyline went from bad to worse and got more unrealistic every minute. So I was okay with not knowing how it would end and glad that I chose to save a little of my precious time on earth.
